Twisted Lies
Twisted Lies by Ana Huang
My rating: 4.75 of 5 stars
This was everything!! I enjoyed the plot of the story, but I especially appreciated how Ana brought the series to a finish; my heart has never felt fuller. I adored all of the twisted men in their own unique ways, and seeing all of the girls find happiness with these morally grey characters was simply the cherry on top.
Christian and Stella have been in the works since Twisted Games; it was a slow introduction to each other, as well as a slow burn relationship. Stella is selfless, caring, and independent; I resonated with her character when it came to standing up for herself and being vocal about what she needed to say rather than limiting herself to fit society. Christian is serious, industrious, and devoted to his career, and he has been possessive of Stella since the beginning. I am a sucker for fake dating, and this was just so good; the energy between them radiated off the pages, and we saw that Christian had a whole other side to him besides his grumpy self.
Overall, I love their story and how they came to be. Stella's character growth made me very happy; she stood up for herself and voiced what she felt, going from a timid hesitant girl to an assertive woman all on her own because Christian encouraged her. We LOVE a supporting man who sees his girlfriend succeed and is there every step of the way.
The bonus scene and epilogue were just the chef's kiss, Ana did an amazing job of wrapping up each character's story, and the fact that they are still close years later made me want to hug them all. Because of this series, I will most certainly be reading more of Ana Huang's books.
