Fourth Wing
by Rebecca Yarros
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First and foremost, I AM SO MAD NO ONE TOLD ME TO READ THIS BOOK SOONER! And secondly, this book DESERVES ALL the hype it gets. I was so skeptical that I kept it on my TBR for two months because I thought it would be just another overhyped book.

NOPE. How wrong I was, and I am so happy about that.

I am a nerd in every sense, I love Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, etc. anything fantasy with dragons... sign me up.

The book's characters, plot, plotline, and fantasy world are all flawlessly accomplished. I devoured and breathed this book, and refused to put it down until I was ready to go on to Iron Flame. I adored Violet; I resonated with her not only physically because of how frail she appears due to her bones (literally me), but also because she is a stronger person beneath it all, a quick-witted girl who knows so much and understands her worth. I was proud of her character development throughout the novel, and let's not forget our man, Xaden. God, I adore that man.

He was far better than I had imagined, and although I love the enemies-to-lovers trope, the slow-burning tension and agony between Violet and him was amazing. Altogether, it made for an incredible story. I will never be able to move past the events in this book IYKYK since there are so many unexpected turns, shocking scenes, and just... my poor heart, but you know what? I am so equivocally hooked on this book and cannot wait to continue this magical journey.
