Everyone told me I would love Rhys Larsen and damn were they right. Here we have another morally gray man who was a navy SEAL (we love that) who know is the bodyguard of our favorite princess Bridget. I was way more invested in Rhys and Bridget, there chemistry was just off the charts always there and tip toeing around each other, but eventually became somewhat more down the line.

Bridget is kind, smart and is the beautiful princess of Eldorra. Rhys is hot, possessive, protective and her bodyguard. Rhys refuses to ever get involved with his clients, but he can’t seem to stay away from her. Bridget’s brother has abdicated the crown for love so she must prepare to be queen while hiding her forbidden romance with Rhys.

I've never read a princess and bodyguard trope, when I think of princesses I think of Cinderella or something but let me tell you that Bridget is a mixture of Merida and Ariel, fighting for what she believes is right and doing things her way. From twisted love to twisted games it is such a different environment and the enemies to lovers was just another added bonus, but the way that Rhys comes to genuinely care and try to understand Bridget was just so heartwarming to me.

The spice was giving everything I needed it to give between these two, but Rhys being so damn protective over Bridget always saying MY princess m god I cannot get over him and his grumpiness towards everyone except Bridget. They brought out the softness in each other that I just really appreciated because we really were able to see how their lives affected them and were able to get there happy ending together. But it was not easy all the in between had me freaking out half the time because no, YOU CANNOT JUSTGIVE UP RHYS LARSEN I refused lol, but I knew it would be a HEA anyway but still the journey this book took me on was a rollercoaster but absolutely loved it.
