Ruthless Vows

Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ruthless Vows: 4.3

This was my first duology into the fantasy world, and I am genuinely so happy it was. I was skeptical about the third person narration but come to find out I actually enjoyed it. I loved the storyline and the plot; it gave us the beautiful set up of enemies to lovers with Iris and Roman and how their story unfolds around the war with the Gods and every obstacle between them that prevents them from ever being together.

Ruthless Vows provided us with a more in-depth look into the Gods and the realm of fantasy, which I enjoyed seeing and participating in, but I believe certain minor details should have been taken out or combined with the other chapters. REGARDLESS, I adored these novels as a whole; it was a brilliantly written plot from start to finish, with incredibly engaging writing. The characters are complex, and I found myself pulled to them as a result. The “Letters of Enchantment” honestly have me in a chokehold because I can’t get over how beautiful and pure the words are.

Roman and Iris… I will never get over there love and ferocity for each other in every sense of the word. Whether it was love or protection, it was all evident and unwavering throughout the story.

I know there have been different opinions to Ruthless Vows, but I found it enthralling to delve deeper and maybe one day get a spin-off of Attie; I truly adored her character and everything she meant by having Iris cross paths with her and become such an important role.
