Loving Romeo

Loving Romeo by Laura Pavlov
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a nice, fast-paced read. I especially enjoyed the Rocky Balboa analogies, and the dedication was like a chef's kiss to me because it was my favorite Rocky quotation. Romeo was adorable and a dreamboat, but I believe the enemies to lovers storyline was rushed; everything fit together nicely, but there were only a few chapters before they realized they had feelings for each other.

I particularly enjoyed Romeo's friendship dynamic with his 'brothers' because they are best friends but also family, and I loved witnessing the boys group chat and how they felt for each other. Demi was a determined heroine who worked for everything she gained, even if she came from a found family; she wanted to earn whatever she aspired for in her life. During Demi and Romeo's time together, developing her new business entails confronting hard realities and overcoming various difficulties that impede Demi and Romeo from living happily ever after.

I originally was between ratings because I could not land on one or the either, it was a 3.5-4/5 for me. I would recommend if you like sports romance in boxing, a huge Rocky Balboa fan and if you just want a cute and fun fast-paced read. I definitely will read the rest of the series about the boys River, Nash, Kingston and Hayes (River was my favorite).
