I now see why everyone was so excited to read this book. It is a lovely book about following your ambitions and desires regardless of any obstacles that may try to interfere with what you want as long as you have the objective in your heart and mind you will achieve it.

The story is really captivating and brims with hope, which is something I believe is crucial to our lives. The book demonstrates that pursuing your destiny is just as vital as reaching it. I think the fact that they were able to integrate so many different religions, as well as the fact that the entire tale is focused on individuals pushing Santiago to pursue his goal regardless of what happens, helped. Even while Santiago thinks he'll never get there, it appears destiny has other plans for him.

I think this is a great book for anyone who struggles to believe in themselves and what life has to offer them. People who would be pessimistic about the journey but.... hope, love and believing in yourself is the most important thing to be successful in your own endeavors. The story itself is beautiful, not just about the destination but your journey along the way and finding out who you are.
