The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

You would think the protagonist was Evelyn Hugo but actually, it is a journalist named Monique Grant. Evelyn just happens to want to give her final interview to the young journalist who she happens to mention by name, Monique in shock decides to do it while going through her own personal difficulties with life.

Obviously, as you can tell from the title of the book it is about her life story. Her childhood, how she rose to fame, and what life was like after she became famous. She also goes into enormous detail about how her life was with her seven husbands, what she could have done differently, and how her life came out to be.

This novel was so beautifully well written that I really felt like Evelyn Hugo was a real person, even if I knew this was fiction I wondered if it was based on a real person and their experiences.. it wasn't but nonetheless it was an amazing book, T. R. Jenkins did not hold back on her artistic creativity with it and even until this day it is still on the top of my reading list. I encourage anyone to read this as it's about life and how you live and learn with everything you've done. Also, you are in for a shocker at the end of this book! so please read it, I cannot recommend it enough.

This book had me hooked and it is worthy of a 5 star rating.
