The Locked Door
This was my most recent read, I finished it within a day as I went to the salon to get my hair done. It was a captivating book and piqued my interest when I saw it. One thing I will say about it, is that it does seem a bit repetitive in the beginning I'm not sure why that is maybe to get their point across but I felt I read the same sentence so often I thought I was reading the same twice. BESIDES THAT ONE POINT, it was a very interesting read and it transitions from past to present, and sometimes had me a bit confused as to what was really happening.
The protagonist is a surgeon named Nora David and she is the daughter of a famous serial killer; he was known for killing his victims and chopping off their hands. Nora changed her identity making sure no one ever knew who she really was and never used her real name again. As time passes a few of Nora's patients are killed.. in the exact same way her father used to kill his victims, and she realizes that someone in her present knows who she really is and is trying to frame her for the murders when she's innocent..or is she?
I rated this book originally a 3.5/5 because I felt that it could have been a little more detailed even though the plot twist at the end of the book had me shaken I wanted more BUT because of that ending and how good it was it bumped up the book to a 4/5!.
